Obscure Trail Monkeys Peakfest

Utah is home to so many spectacular mountain ranges. Join the Oatmeal Trail Monkeys as we pick a remote range in Utah and go explore all that it has to offer in one awesome weekend.

2017 Date:   May 19-20

Location: Silver Island Mountain Range.  Bonneville Salt Flats.

Logistics:

Start Time:

We will leave early Friday morning before sunrise and make the long car ride out to the Salt Flats. After jumping out of the car, for the rest of Friday and most of Saturday, we will bag peaks, route find along ridges, and generally explore the mountains with a whole lot of summit Dew in tow.

Camp:
Friday night, we will camp at the base of one of the routes we will begin the next morning. We'll eat a huge dinner, then crank up a movie in the desert as we fall asleep.

Food:
We'll have plenty of water for everyone, and dinner is of course on us. Anyone who joins will be handed a juicy steak, chicken breast, chili and chips. Oh yeah... a high protein dinner before a second day of climbing. As for breakfast, lunches, trail food, and car food, you're on your own.
